The District of Columbia’s City Council recently voted unanimously to greatly expanding its Medicial Cannabis Program, which will allow for broader participation in the industry. The program will provide licensing for cultivation centers, manufacturing facilities, couriers, caregivers, brick and mortar retail, internet retail, and testing laboratories. All patients both in-state and out-state will able to self-certify and the District will extend reciprocity to residents of other states with medical cannabis cards.
